I have been an avid writer and photographer all my life. After publishing seven novels and discovering being a novelist was not as appealing as it seemed, I focused on photography, namely thoroughbred horse racing at Santa Anita Park. I learn something new every year and taught myself such things as crocheting and playing the Irish tin whistle. In 2017 it was painting, and I fell in love with a new art form. Art continues to be my passion, in all forms, whether shooting morning workouts at the track or getting her hands dirty while finger painting.
All paintings are original pieces; no two are the same. I base my work off photos from my archives or things I’ve seen while poking around in galleries or online. I put my own spin on each piece of art, even if based on something else I found interesting. While I do not make copies, I can reproduce a work of mine, though I make no guarantees that any two will be equal.
